Gallery Wing 7: Aquatic & Marine Companions

Welcome to the Aquatic & Marine Companions Wing of the PetEatSafe Museum.

Aquatic care represents a distinct branch of animal keeping governed by nitrogen cycle chemistry, water parameters (pH, hardness, ammonia, nitrites), and submerged aquascaping design.

Wing Curatorial Focus

  • Nitrogen Cycle Safety: Understanding biological filtration and beneficial bacterial colonies (Nitrosomonas & Nitrobacter).
  • Water Chemistry Balance: Maintaining species-specific temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen levels.
  • Enrichment & Substrate: Providing safe, non-toxic plants, caves, and smooth substrates for delicate fins and gills.
